MEET KWASI
Kwasi Hudson, born in Villa Rica, Georgia, is a dedicated family man and community advocate with a distinguished military background. He is the proud father of four children and a grandfather of two. A graduate of Villa Rica High School, Hudson has deep roots in his hometown community.
Kwasi's commitment to service began with his tenure in the United States Navy, where he served from 1999 to 2012. During his naval career, he served onboard the USS Monterey, a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, completing two deployments in support of critical missions around the globe. Hudson also completed recruiting duty in Columbus, GA, Auburn, AL, and Oklahoma City, OK, where he excelled in identifying and enlisting top talent for the Navy. His exemplary service earned him numerous awards, including two Navy Achievement Medals.
Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Hudson transitioned into civilian life, where he applied his skills and leadership experience to a career in the insurance industry. As an insurance salesman, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others protect their assets and loved ones.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Hudson has held positions on various executive boards for several nonprofit organizations in the community. He currently serves as the President of the Villa Rica-Temple Kiwanis Club, where he works tirelessly to support local youth and community service projects. Additionally, he serves as a Vice Chair of the Carroll County Democratic Party Commitee and as the 3rd Vice President of the Carroll County NAACP, where he plays a pivotal role in advocating for progressive policies, civil rights, and community engagement. Kwasi has also served on the City of Villa Rica Recreation Committee, contributing to the enhancement of local recreational programs and facilities. Furthermore, he is a board member of M.E.N.S. Inc., an organization dedicated to mentoring and empowering young men in the community, and a board member of EII Cultural Arts for Youth, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting cultural arts and education among young people. His active involvement in these organizations reflects his dedication to making a positive impact at the grassroots level.
Now, Kwasi Hudson is stepping forward as a political candidate, motivated by a desire to serve his community on a broader scale. With his background in military service, professional expertise, commitment to community welfare, extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, and his roles in the Kiwanis Club, the Carroll County Democrats, the Carroll County NAACP, the City of Villa Rica Recreation Committee, M.E.N.S. Inc., and EII Cultural Arts for Youth, he aims to bring positive change and effective leadership to his constituents.
